While I'm up here in Maryland, I get the "privilege" to think...a lot...about everything. Much of my thinking is moping and feeling sorry for myself cause I don't have friends here and there really isn't much for me to DO. Well, other than taking care of the temporary temper tantrum throwing terrible two year old I'm getting paid to watch.
But today, I thought out of my usual box. I thought about art and the art classes I've taken. I took art 101 and a photo 1 class in HS; and a photography, photo editing, and intro to visual arts in college. I remember my first day in my Intro class my teacher talked about this thing called an aesthetic impulse. He said that we all had it. It's the impulse to create; to make stuff. Apparently I have A LOT of aesthetic impulse...or...my aesthetic impulse is extremely strong? The point is, is that I have to create stuff. Personally, I would rather do that than anything else in the world.
The blog www.newdressaday.com has inspired me to do SOMETHING creative as a 365 day project...now as to what it is...well, I have about 3 months to decide.
