The Point System

As I go about my days in college, I've found myself awarding points for random things. There's no way to know what a point may be given for, or when it can be given. It's simply that every time I say something to the effect of, "I give you a point," you recieve one. However, it is the recipient of the points' responsibility of keeping track of the amount of points they are currently in possession of.
The first step in the points is 20. Once reaching this momentous mark I will give you something. Yes, you can ask for anything...within reason. Some have asked for cookies, others ask to just have a day being silly with them, and few have asked for a date. At the first mark of 20 points you have exactly 20 hours to choose what you might ask for. Every mark has a different time frame...
Points-time[in relation from the time the final point is given]
20-20 hours
52-3 days
121-1 week and 5 minutes
147-6 days, 2 hours, and 48 seconds
168-9 minutes
...

...Yes, the points and time continue, however, no one has ever reached that. I'll post those numbers with their according times when someone obtains them.

WARNING:In the same way of earning points individuals may also lose points.

Don't Ya Know?...Can't Ya See?

As the weeks have progressed I've found myself to be a happier person. I continue to enjoy the activities that I had once enjoyed before, and no longer focus all energy on him...I focus on me, life, friends...time with them laughing and just being happy. I hated being where it was cold and snowing and wet; where it's so far away from anything and everything; where my friends are only a voice on a phone, and my family is pictures and Christmas memories. Now, I've changed my whole thought process. My time away from my family is giving me the ability to grow as an individual. I miss them and am happy to talk to them when I can. My time with my friends and peers attending school has become more important than most everything else.

I've found that in his presence my face reddens and my heart races. I get nervous...which just doesn't happen. I don't know what to do...I think okay, I want to hold his hand...countdown...1...2...3!...4... and eventually things work the way I want =) I get all excited when I know he's coming over. I freak, making sure the apartment isn't a total wreck, and remember that I should've done that homework I knew was due tomorrow. Instead I stay up after he leaves...much like I'm doing now...checking facebook and wishing he'd text and realizing I should really do my homework. That's now. When I need to do that homework on the presentation I need to have ready for tomorrow. Greeeat.

Is it sad that he only left 30 minutes ago and I want him to text me...? Yes, that is a rhetorical question. I'll leave you to ponder that...

Heh...Look at That...the Sun Came out Tomorrow

As this week has progressed I began happy, content, maybe a little stressed from school...but overall it was good. Then came the rain. Between two of my classes I received an unfortunate text message killing every emotion previously mentioned. I wasn't even stressed...I merely didn't care. I walked around as an empty little shell, and as if the sky expected it and wished to let the world know that I felt cold inside...it began to snow...not even the pretty flurry snow, no, the pill snow that could be small softer hail stones.
In going to the only one I knew would understand what I was feeling, my day got mildly better. Planning on watching my favorite TV show, and eating Ben & Jerry's with my friend who had gone through the exact same thing exactly a week before me. A marathon of The Big Bang Theory made me laugh as I ate some Triple Caramel Crunch and Half Baked and drank 2 cans of pepsi with my funny, nerdy friend. The weather in my heart slowed and melted to a light rain.

The light rain had moments of harsh winds and hard falls. Raindrops ending up soaking my pillow-case and staining my face. Loud thundering and bright lightning strikes with sharp hits to my heart. Weak and tired, the storms began to leave. Kind messages from my friend, a hug, saying "everything will be okay in the end; if it's not okay, it's not the end." without words just kind gestures and being there for me as my rain fell. That's how the storm drifted and I now began to see light at the end of the road.

Now I'm okay. Just wait, you'll see...the sun'll come out tomorrow. Melting the snow, and drying the rain, the sun'll come out...just wait, you'll see.
