Have you ever had that voice in your head...the one that mocks all the things your heart says. Every hope that pulses through it. The one that tells you, "True love? It doesn't exist. There's no such thing as love at first sight or first kisses..." It's true. But, only in the context which most people define it.
The love you see in movies. When Cinderella dances with Prince Charming and all of a sudden it's "true love" and they get married and live happily ever after. Snow White, Aurora, Ariel, Belle...they barely even know their princes when they get married. How do you TRULY love someone you don't even know? You don't! It's that simple.
True love, the love that exists...takes time with the person...trust. THAT is the love you should want in your lifetime. None of this ridiculous prince/princess/destiny/happily ever after shenanigans.
There's a difference between truly loving someone, and loving the idea of someone. When you love the idea, you ignore their faults, excuse them, pretend they're not there. When you're truly in love, you embrace their faults and love the imperfections that mold who they are.
Next time you go looking for true love, reevaluate what it is you're really looking for; and remember true love isn't something to search for it's something that's discovered.

When you love the idea of someone, you fill in the "holes" with your imagination...they essentially become a hybrid of your ideas of the "perfect person" along with their true characteristics. It's a tricky situation sometimes when you truly evaluate which category that person belongs in...
